Action films/thrillers are designed to get the adrenaline pumping. Of late, action films and thrillers are driven by special effects, but not so long ago, Hitchcock could get similar results with much less in the effects department. Adventure, epic stories, or the good ole car chase -- it seems anything will do as long as there is a cliffhanger, an immediate danger to be averted, a great problem to solve. If you bite your nails, you might want to think twice about going into this section.
