What is IPEX VIEW?
IPEX VIEW is a business-to-business e-marketplace, where sellers and buyers of multiplatform video based content can show, view and share trailers, make offers and exchange business information in view of closing a pre-sale or acquisition of a given property.
This means IPEX VIEW will bring sellers more customers in less time than traditional advertising, and will provide key acquisition leads to interested buyers.
How does it work?
- It is free for industry buyers to register.
- It is free for sellers (distributors and content creators) to create listings (add images and programme metadata)
- Sellers can ugrade their listing to a premium video listing for a nominal fee. Video listings benefit from promotion in our newsletter, blog, and on our front page.
- IPEX VIEW does not take a commission or charge a finder's fee.
- IPEX VIEW also offers comprehensive Digital Marketing Solutions for film and video rights-holders. This is a paid service, but many different packages are available and each can be customized to the scale and needs of your business.
What is Sell Sheet Broadcaster?
Sell Sheet Broadcaster (SSB) is the name for our free listing service. A sell sheet is a promotional poster (usually double-sided). They are also called 'one-sheets'. To add your property to IPEX VIEW go

What if I don't have a sell sheet?
No problem, an IPEX VIEW listing is your digital equivalent. You may add any image you wish to your listing. It doesn't have to be an official sell sheet.
Does IPEX VIEW take a commission or charge a finder's fee?
Absolutely not. We connect buyers and sellers. Buyers can contact sellers directly through our site. After that, it's up to you.
Technical Help
What format are the videos on IPEX VIEW?
IPEX VIEW presents video in the Flash Video Format. We've picked this highly versatile format to ensure that as many systems as possible can view the videos. This is the format that Google Video and YouTube use. But
IPEX VIEW digitizes our videos at 480 pixels x 360 pixels (YouTube videos are 55% smaller), and uses a "double-pass" process to ensure the highest quality video possible. It takes longer, but we think it's worth it, and we have the resources to take the time without delaying the posting of your videos. And
IPEX VIEW keeps your source files in our secure database. As bandwidth increases and computers get faster,
IPEX VIEW is ready to start delivering your videos at higher and higher quality as the standards improve.
Will my videos be accessible around the world?
Yes indeed. Flash is the most widely adopted video format on the web, and we work very hard to make sure our encoding settings are friendly to a wide variety of connection speeds, and that our stream is consistent around the world. You won't be able to view stutter-free video on a dial-up connection, but most broadband connections are supported. If you're not seeing smooth video, please let us know.
How long does it take to put a video on IPEX VIEW?
We strive to have every new video online with two business days. But if you call and need it faster, we can have a new version of a video up within 40 minutes.
What are the technical requirements to put a video on IPEX VIEW?
This is how it works:
Send us your trailers. The most important thing is that we get the highest quality you can offer. If you have high-quality (720x480) quicktime, wmv, avi, or mpeg2 files you want to put on a DVD and mail us, that's the best for us. We will also happily take authored DVDs (screeners, trailer compilations, catalogue DVDs). We want high quality to ensure your trailers look great, and that we can keep up with changing video standards. You may also upload your trailers by using the UPLOAD VIDEO feature in the Listing Editor. Please e-mail
videotrailers@ipexview.com for more details.
Please fill in an Excel sheet with some of your trailer data. It's not complicated (just four fields). We use this information to create your listings, and then invite you to visit them online and fill in the rest. Click
here to download the Excel file.
Please send us the biggest copy of your logo you have. JPEG format please.
We select a thumbnail image for your video. If you'd like to change it, you can upload your own using the Listing Editor.
I only have full length screener DVDs. Can you make a trailer for me?
While we don't offer a trailer editing service (yet), we will happily take your full length screener and extract a segment from it. We recommend around 3 minutes, but it can be longer or shorter if you wish. Our upper limits is 5 minutes. If you would like to send us time markers for the exact segment please do, but otherwise we'll just extract the first 3-5 minutes. Our highly skilled, and considerate, technicians will pick an appropriate length (we won't be cutting in the middle of a sentence). There is no extra charge, but please be aware that this does take longer. Please expect a week's wait for 10 trailers or more.
How do I post my listings?
Well, first you have to be registered as a Distributor. It is free to create an account, and you can post as many listings as you wish. Listings are free. We charge a nominal fee if you want to add a trailer. If you have an account, just login and click on the blue tab called ADD NEW LISTING.
To create an account just visit the
Join Now tab. Then, just follow the directions. Once you login to your account you'll be directed to ADD NEW LISTING. All the help you need is right there.
I'm ready to add a trailer. What do I do?
If you are posting just a few trailers (say less than five), you are invited to make complete use of our self-serve tools. Which means, that you will click on "Add a new Listing" (the blue tab at the top of this page). Here you can fill in all the necessary information about your listing, you can upload a thumbnail image for your clip, and you can upload a poster image. Then you can upload a trailer. We review your trailer, digitize it, and have it ready within two business days. You can see your listings and preview your trailer by click on the tab MY LISTINGS. Once you're satisfied, you let us know that you want your listing to go live (visible to everyone on the site), and we make it happen. You are now webcasting on
IPEX VIEW.
If you are planning to upload several trailers (say, more than five), we have a system in place to make the process easier on you. We will send you an Excel sheet, and ask you to fill in some basic fields (Title, contact, synopsis, keywords). Send us the Excel sheet back, and we will upload it for you. All the information from the Excel sheet will be waiting for you in "My Listings". You can send us your trailers through the mail or upload them to us via FTP. We digitize them, and you will be able to preview them in the Listings Manager. You can then complete you listings by filling in the remaining information online. You will also be able to upload sell sheets and other images.
If you've already posted listings and you want to add video, simply buy trailer slots and upload the video using the Listing Editor. Or mail us your DVDs with detailed instructions. E-mail
videotrailers@ipexview.com for more information.
