Natural history films, wildlife films represent one of the ever present blue-chip must-haves for major TV networks. They are family friendly, they teach us strong lessons about our role as stewards of this planet, and increasingly, our role as preservers of wildlife for future generations. Sometimes its the Jaws and Claws approach, the sensational and vigourous. Sometimes it's the careful determination of a penguin watching over an egg for months in the blistering cold. In each case we see a bit of ourselves, or maybe we see what we wish we were.
