Synopsis
Thirteen years ago Hervé Scrive took up the crazy challenge of building models of the world's most beautiful boats near Antananarivo, in Madagascar. Today this out of the way spot has become The Village, the world's most respected source of model boats. Incredibly gifted with their hands, the Madagascan craftsmen create each part of each model with meticulous patience. But in addition to this natural talent there's something else, something with its origins far back in time: a pride buried under decades of being told by their governments to keep quiet, knuckle under and accept the poverty of their country as something inevitable.
