Synopsis
Shot in Belgium and Holland, where Greenaway's next film is set, this interview by Philippe Pilard, author of several highly regarded books on English cinema, looks at the film maker's highly personal approach. Having opted once and for all for digital imagery, Greenaway has returned to his original painterly approach and found fresh creative independence. Members of his team comment on his way of working and as the film advances Philippe Pilard sees himself being fitted into Greenaway's new Russian-doll scenario.
