Synopsis
The Barber of Seville: Opera by Rossini, based on the play by Beaumarchais Straightening out Count Almaviva's tangled love affairs while saving Rosina from the clutches of the aging Bartolo: what better solution than the theatrical skills of Coline Serreau, with all their comic subtlety and brio? Exhilarating pacing, sumptuous sets and costumes, and stunning musical direction by Bruno Campanella mean a brilliant version of Rossini's comic opera.
Note : Coline Serreau, Trois hommes et un couffin (Three Men and a Baby), La Crise, Le Chaos (French cinema César Award, 2001).
