Synopsis
Bloody April will highlight the bravery and skills of the pilots who flew and fought in the desperate battle to gain aerial supremacy over the front lines of Northern France. From the individual bravery of the outstanding 'Aces' to the dogged determination of the inexperienced reconnaissance pilots, Bloody April will tell the dramatic story of the slaughter in the skies over Arras. We combine original black and white footage and recent footage from major feature films depicting the era, along with dramatic reconstructions, interviews from historians and first hand testimonies from authentic audio of pilots who participated in the battle. This will be the story of the exceptional efforts and personal sacrifice made by the pilots who clashed amongst the clouds.
