Synopsis
The Bodybuilder and I is a feature documentary about success, failure, shame and family. Told with humour and sensitivity, the film delves into the subculture of senior bodybuilders and into the life of a man, Bill Friedman, as he prepares for an international competition where he'll try to regain his status as champion. Filmmaker Bryan Friedman seeks to understand his estranged father, hoping that he can learn to love and respect him for the first time.
