Synopsis
“The Organistas"

A rare glimpse into the passionate world of organists and organ builders.

Using sophisticated eye, hand and listening skills in designing and installing “The King of Instruments”, the film shows the manufacturing from the pouring of molten pipe metal to the critical ‘voicing’ of pipes.

From the spectacular contemporary organ in Disney Hall in Los Angeles and the fantastic instruments at Eton College Chapel at Windsor to a tiny organ built in 1680 and the rare private home organ concealed in a Chinese cabinet...a rare insiders look and music from remarkable instruments.

Organs in small chapels and large churches and the famous Temple E-Manu-El in New York and the great Wanamaker organ in Philadelphia are included.
